The first thing I would check the trippers on your T40004RT3, which would be part # 156T1978A. That is generally what would cause the timer to not start your equipment.

I have a Hayward EcoSTAR 2 HP pump and have to have a new electrical panel. In addition, I want a 12V transformer for an LED pool light ( which I also have to purchase). What type of Intermatic panel would you recommend so that I can place the required GFI DPST breaker in the box and have room for the control of a 120 V light. Is a 20A DPST breaker sufficient and would you recommend a timer even though the Hayward has a timer system already.

Hi John, There is the T40000RT3 with no timers would work for what you have explained, we do not currently have this item on the site but we can add if you would like for us to do so.  However if you ever install an ozonator, salt chlorine generator or pressure cleaner then I recommend you get this unit with the timer. Hello Janneth. Here is the Intermatic Control Panel T40004RT3 Parts List on our web site. We have two timer options T104M and T103M available that differ based on your voltage connection. You may require timer trippers if those are missing. I am not 100% sure what else you need in order to connect the timer, as I do not know if you are missing any other parts, but feel free to reference the diagram to determine if you require any additional parts.
