Hi Graham, On average most pools are around 40' of head and this motor when paired with a 5 HP Pump Housing would output around 300 GPM at 40' of head. Please note there are many variables that affect the feet of head so this is a pretty vague answer. We did put this article together on How to Determine Your Feet of Head which would help narrow in on a more accurate GPM number.
