Polaris Vac-Sweep 360 - No Booster Pump Required!

Our most advanced pressure-side automatic pool cleaner that operates without a booster pump. The Polaris 360 easily connects to a dedicated pressure line and is suitable for all in-ground pools. It sweeps, scrubs, and vacuums the bottom, walls, and steps of all pool surfaces. It also traps large debris, like leaves and pebbles, in its own filter bag.

Features

  • Vacuums, sweeps and scrubs the bottom and walls of any size or shape pool.
  • In-line back-up valve automatically frees the 360 if it gets cornered and keeps it cleaning without interruption.
  • Powered by the pressure of clean water returning to your pool, leaving both the filter and skimmer free to eliminate contaminants.
  • Unique filter bag removes debris before it reaches your pump basket or filter, prolonging the life of your filtration system.
  • Available in a Black Max Model to complement dark bottom pools.

I have a polaris that is approx. 10 yrs. old and have had it worked on several times but I think it is worn out because it will only work on the deep end. It has a booster so if I bought one without the booster will it connect without any changes to my jets, etc. It sounds like it would be more energy efficient without the booster pump running.

Thank you for your question. The Polaris 360 cleaner runs off of the pool's standard return jet. Since you are not using an additional booster pump, you will save on energy costs. Please keep in mind that your pool pump will have to be powerful enough to run the cleaner. If it is not, you may have to upgrade your pool pump.

What hp does the pump need to be for the polaris that does not require a booster?

Hi Don, The Polaris 360 Pool Cleaner run off you main pool pump. So you would have to size the pump based of your pool. You can review our How To: Size A Pool Pump instructions.

I have an existing booster pump. can the Polaris 360 work with this pump?

Hi John, A booster pump is not recommended to operate this unit. However if you do use one, you will have to regulate the water flow.

We have a Jandy variable speed pump. Will the Polaris 360 run at the low (Energy efficient) speed or only the higher speeds?

Hello Reenie, there normally is a "quick clean" button which will put your pump up to a higher HP when running your pool cleaner and after a certain time frame it will go back to normal setting slowing down HP and stopping your cleaner.
