My 3900 hangs up in the corners and other places. The wheels stop turning but there is plenty of pressure as water is coming out the relay at the wall. I could not pull up the manual to check troubleshooting.

The back-up valve should be what pulls it out of corners. To check that, simply set the hose with the valve section on the deck. The water in the back-up valve should shift directions every couple of minutes, if it is working properly. Here is the Manual for the Polaris 3900 Sport.

My pool has a separate pump for the 3900. I have used a Polaris cleaner for 30 years. See previous question and answer which is way off....

After reviewing the previous Q & A, I would also recommend to make sure that the back up valve is functioning correctly. They are specifically designed to put the cleaner into reverse mode so to speak moving it from tight spots. This part is shown on page 3 of the manual as key number 8. You may also want to make sure that the rear jet is positioned in the 11 o'clock position. If non of thes tips work you can always touch base with Zodiac at 1.800.822.7933.
