Hi Ken. A 125 or 150 heater requires 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 gallons of propane per hour to operate the unit. The bigger the tank the less you will have to refill it. I would recommend that you check with your local county code enforcement to find out what size tank they will allow you to have.

Does this come with everything needed to install on the heater? Will it keep from heater blowing out and relighting on windy days?

This comes with everything but the screwdriver and nut driver you need. And it should help in High wind situations
