Yes the Rheem and Raypak heaters are the same company and exact same units, some retailers purchase and sell under the Rheem name while others use the Raypak name.

If the air outside the heat pump is too cold, the heat pump will not operate. The actual point at which the unit will cease operating due to low temperature varies. Current weather conditions, the amount of sunlight reaching the heat pump, and the installation quality are primary contributors to this event. The shutdown will occur near or around 50°F (10°C).

any reason i cannot reduce immediately from 2" to 1 1/2" piping in/out of this unit? my current system is all 1 1/2" @ approx. 50 GPM & 8 ft/s & would prefer to keep all valving, fittings & runs the same size. only flow spec i see in the manual for this unit is 15 - 60 GPM, no velocity band stated.

Hi. The plumbing can be reduced to 1-1/2 inches, the GPM is the velocity rating of the unit.

I want to buy a heat/cool heat pump and I want to control the water temp and pump remotely through wifi. Can this unit be controlled this way? Do you sell the controls to do this?

Hello, yes this can be controlled by an automation system, but the system you need is based on the relay that you have.
