My pool filter is a Sta-Rite Posi flo II. The id plate says it requires cartridge # WC108-57S1X. Is # WC108-57S2X cartridge an acceptable replacement?If not what is?Also how often should the cartridge be replaced under normal conditions?

Hi, Richard. I was not able to find part number WC108-57S1X anywhere. Based on the part number provided WC108-57S2X is the correct replacement. Under normal circumstances, the cartridge should be replaced every 12-18 months of use.
