How do you replace the whole grid unit? How do you get the old bottom plate off?

Hi Lorraine, Instructions can be found in the Jacuzzi Avalanche D.E. Filter Manual. The bottom plate is held in place wy a lock nut, once you've removed it then the bottom plate will be freed from the tie rod.

Can you tell me what size the grides are in this assembly. need to replace gride on Namco filter made by Jacuzzi

I took off the top of the filter, put silicon grease around the bottom of the grid so that at the end of the season I would be able to remove the grids and store them accordingly. I had earth mixed up in a bucket, turned on the pump and rest is history. I was so happy to find what we needed to get the pool up and running. The water is crystal clear and all is well. Thank you INYO Pools.
