With my Anthony Sylvan Pool, which has been installed approx. since 1987 I have a Jandy Valve pump system. One of the grease cup fittings for the Gray Jandy Valve is leaking. Part 6652-12 seems to be the correct replacement part. However, as this fitting does not show a part number and I want to make sure that this is the identical part prior to ordering, could you confirm that the diameter. of the grease cup is 1".

The grease cup outside piece with female threads is going to be 1 5/16” outside diameter on this and The male threaded part that screws into the valve is 1” in diameter. This is the only grease cup Jandy has used.

How many grease caps do you selk in a package. I think most places charge around $11/cap.

We only carry these caps sold as individual.

What is this gray circular knob for? It's called a grease cap? I noticed these circular side knobs on all my old (over 20 year old) Jandy valves, but when the tech was going to replace one recently that began to leak, he brought a Jandy NeverLube that does not have the side circular knob. Should I be concerned? What is the difference and should I have the grease cap knob on all my diverter valves?

Those caps are used to push lubricant into the valve to help keep the gasket inside in good condition. With the Neverlube series, they do not need those grease cups. You do not need to be concerned.

Hi Tammy, most often when these grease caps leak it is due to them being cracked or broken and will need to be replaced.
