is there a piece that goes with the flange so theirs no gap in on the bottom of the rim

Hi, The Lens Gasket is what seals the gap between the fixture and Face Rim.

Hi Anthony, The Hayward Duralite will replace the Hayward Starlite SP540.

Hi, Ken. This Face Rim will not fit the SP0582SL30 fixture. You can use either p/n SPX0580A or SPX0580AS.
