I bought Polaris 360 cleaner year before last-used first year - it was awesome-second year not so good - kept springing new pin holes in the hoses in various sections. Contacted Polaris - they have NEVER heard this complaint?? Would like to use the cleaner but cannot afford replacing the hoses all the time. Any ideas why this is happening please help

Sandy, The main cause would be improper water chemistry and leaving the cleaner/hoses in the pool when not in use.

The Polaris hose doesn't last anymore. It's not the pool chemicals, it's not the weather. It's the hose. It's made cheaper, different compound, thickness or whatever. They want you to buy more hose. The last pool I had 20 years ago, I never replaced the hose. The tires wore out on my Polaris first. I will no longer buy Polaris' overpriced low quality products again. The debris bags don't even last a season. Help me, somebody.

I wish I had something better for you, but the reality is that they just do not make anything like they use to. The replacement parts do not last because the manufacturer expects consumers to keep buying the parts so they do not have to spend the money for a brand new cleaner.

Is there any alternative to the Polaris hose? Surely someone has come up with a generic that is as good or better than the Polaris hose.
