Thank you for contacting Inyo Pools. The D50 (leader hose) is a soft hose and the D45 is more rigid.

My 3900 has a black hose and I need to extend it by 6 ft. Do you carry item 41 for the 3900 in black?

Hi Doug, The 380/280 10' Feed Hose, Black (D52) can be used with the Polaris 3900.
