Hello. Tell me, what is the tinfoil strip for and how should it be positioned? Top, bottom, side? This is for a Sun-lite lens replacement outside diameter is the same so it should fit. Anything less expensive with the same diameter in clear?

Unfortunately we are not sure what you are referring to RE: the tin foil strip unless you are asking about the light band clamp assembly. The light band clamp assembly is a light weight metal flexible clamp to hold the lens in place. This is the correct lens if you have a Sunlite series light. Other lenses that may be the same diameter still may not fit correctly as there are certain gaskets & housing's that the light len's has to mate to.
