Blue Lens
I am replacing my pool light with a 6500k LED bulb. I currently have a medium blue lens, should I keep the blue or use a clear lens.

We would suggest going with this Clear Pool Light Lens as the blue lens will throw off the colors of the LED Bulb.

We have a 65W White LED pool light in a 40 ft. long pool. It lights the pool really well, much better than the 40W multicolor LED bulb it replaced, but it is just too bright when looking at it directly, which we're forced to do from the patio. Do you have any experience with this medium blue lens and white LED lights? Would it appreciably cut down on the brightness when looking at the light directly? We think the extra bluish tint would look better than the blue LED light from the prior one.

Hello Raymond. The Pentair Medium Blue Lens will soften the light from the 65W LED Bulb. Of concern would be the appearance of the pool surface when lit with a blue-colored light source. Typically a blue hue is one of the more appealing colors, but it has to fall within your personal color pallet. Please note: This lens will fit select Pentair Pool Products Light Fixtures. Please reference lens diameter 8.375" for compatibility with your light fixture.

Cons: not effective
The lens is a light blue and not dark enough to make a difference, I ended up also installing a darker blue plastic cover to obtain the effect I was looking for.
