1. Disconnect main power
2. Take picture of the wiring to the motor
3. disconnect wiring
4. Pull wiring out of motor
5. Disconnect both lines to the pump
6. Unscrewed bolts to the cover to the impeller
7. Took cap off the back of motor to expose end of shaft
8. put cresent onto shaft and hand turned impeller in opposite directon and took it off
9. pulled seal out of impeller
10. Unscrewed bolts from motor to flange and base
11. Pulled seal out of flange
12. Cleaned everything up--steel wool to the shaft and silicone spray to the seal seats and lube to my gasket
13 put everything back together------------check for leaks----------back in business

Volute O-ring. Easy to replace while I had booster pump apart. Would recommend if servicing and unit is older. Didn’t want to create a new leak, so replacing with new seal does the trick.
