The Viton O-ring (CLX200K) is the lid o-ring for the Hayward CL200 series inline and offline chlorinators. Made of Viton, a durable synthetic rubber resistant to pool chemicals. Replacing this o-ring will often stop leaks from the chlorinator lid.
Should I put some silicon grease on the o-ring when replacing, or even add some every so often to help cut down on leaks or extend life of o-ring? Thanks

How often is normal for the replacement of this O ring. It seems to stretch past usefulness in a years time.

Hello Stephen, There isn't a specific lifespan for the chlorinator o-rings. I would highly recommend using a this lubricant, Magic Lube O-ring Lubricant, to help extend the life of your o-rings.
