Pressure Relief Valve Black by CMP for Polaris 360 (9-100-3011)
My old quick disconnect had to be replaced. It had a red pressure relief valve. The new disconnect has a black pressure relief valve. The new black valve is opening and releasing a lot of water. The old red valve never released any noticeable flow. Everything else on the system is the same. Is the black one set at a lower relief pressure than the red one? Does this make any difference in the operation of my cleaner?

Hi, The Pressure Relief Valve (E25) that has the red relief is for the Pentair Letro Legend which requires a booster pump. The Pressure Relief Valve, Black (360) (9-100-3011) specifically for the Polaris 360 which does not use a booster pump so the Pressure Relief would work differently because it requires a different amount of water pressure or flow. That is why it is opening and releasing water.
