can your pressure relief value freeze up. When you try and push the button to plug in to wall of pool the button is extremely stiff. Its like its getting to much pressure to my vacuum. Every time the vacuum goes into back up mode, the vacuum backs up and becomes tangled all up.

Jim, Thank you for contacting InyoPools. It is normal for the Pressure Relief Valve to be stiff. If it is weak and easy to squeeze with your hand (when removed) then it would be an indicator the valve has gone bad.
