Unitherm Governor Plug (006720f)
the unitherm governor plug has blown out due to high pressure the thread looks ok on the plug but it is very hard to screw it back in, any ideas.

Well, you either blew the threads on that plug or on the header. Hopefully just the plug ($51.99) and not the header ($298.99).

Mine blew out today when I briefly had all of the outlet Jandy valves closed with the pump running (dumb move). Does this part actually screw into the header or is it a press fit? If it screws in, the threads must have blown on mine. Not sure if they would be the treads on the header or on the plug.

It does thread in to the header. More than likely the threads of the plug would be worn or damaged now but it is more likely to be the plug. Unfortunately we are not able to inspect both.

Both are threaded usually the threads on the plug wear, but without photos we are unable to diagnose
