what is the function of the Valve Check 1/2" #320 (r172248). My auto chlorinator is not working. I have checked for clogs and this is the only thing left but i do not understand what it is for. Thanks, Lenny

Hello, The purpose of a check valve is to prevent the water from "backflowing" when the pump  is turned off.
