We are getting lots of sand after a back wash. Not at any other time, I was told it could be the difusser, since we are only getting sand after the backwash. Pool Serial #9901 1463 or Filter #11325 Thanks Edward

They would have been referring to the diffuser in your filter valve and not this pump diffuser. If there is a rinse position on your filter valve, use that after you backwash for a minute or so. Sometimes that will flush out the sand and prevent it from returning to the pool after backwashing.
