When tightening the heat exchanger bolts is there any torque pressure that should be used?

I spoke to the technicians at Petair Pool Systems ( 800-831-7133 ) and was told that there is no torque pressure listed. He said "according to the manual" do not over tighten. His suggestion was , like a lug nut on a car tire, tighten them all back and forth and when they are snug go back and give one more 1/2 turn. It needs to be tight enough to compress the o-ring, but not so tight as to crush the plastic.
