Replacement bottom manifold for the American Products Quantum Filter.
The manifold I intend to replace has a pipe running through it up to the pressure relief valve, as shown in your filter diagram. The part that you sell appears from the photo to be solid in the center portion with no pipe. Is the pipe not needed or is there another part that has the pipe as shown in the diagram? This is for a Quantum CM cartridge filter of unknown year.

I called Pentair ( now the owner of American ) to get the answer from them. They had to go back to a catalog from 1996 for the answer. The hole is where the air breather tube would attach. The tech said that as long as the tube gets to the bottom to allow air to escape up, it would not make a big difference if it was attached to something or not. If you wish to hear it from them, or if there are any other technical questions, might I suggest you try them. Their number is 800-831-7133. THis is the way the item was listed in their catalog - 56626800 . That may help when talking to them.
