PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE - 50 PSI (38674-0719). The original Pentair 50 psi valve is discontinued. The replacement is a 125 psi valve from Raypak, part number 008091F. The Raypak valve will be shipped as a substitute.
i have the mastertemp 125. will the unit still work if the pressure relief valve is not installed.

Clem - The pressure relief valve is required as a safety function. Your unit should not be run without it.

The Sta Rite gas heater manual says the pressure relief valve should not exceed 50 psi. But your website says this valve is discontinued and you will ship a 125 psi valve instead, is that safe for the system?

The correct valve may still be available under different information. We need to know what heater you have with photos or serial numbers.
