Top and bottom covers don't fit together well.

Top cover 39-003 and bottom cover 39-004 never fit together properly. I rebuild a bunch of these 3900's and the fit of these 2 parts together is terrible! I always have to spend 20-30 minutes scraping and filing the corners of these parts to make them fit together. What should be a 10 minute job replacing these covers turns into an hour. I think the top and bottom covers are molded in 2 different factories, because they sure as heck don't test fit the 2 together during the production run. POLARIS!...get your act together!
