I need to replace some cartridges on Pentair Quad DE 80. My original manual gives a part number of 190152; however, the manuals I see online now show part number 178655. Did Pentair renumber the parts? Will part 178655 work in my filter?

Yes, Pentair did change their #'s and the 178655 will be the correct replacement for your Quad DE 80 filter and 4 cartridges are required.

Hi! What generic cartridge replacement for pentair quad 80 do you suggest best? Pentair is a little pricey so my option is to find a good replacement that has the same quality as the original brand and i need four. Thanks.

Hi, Joseph. The OEM replacement D.E. Quad 80 cartridge is currently priced lower than the generic C-6980.

4 different pool experts cannot understand why DE renters the pool. Had Pentair 2000 and now quad 80 and DE returns. How can I turn the DE filter into a clear/clean filter? Do both filters have the same return configuration? What non DE cartridges will fit in the quad 80?

These are the cartridges that fit the Quad 80, both filters have the same return rate. If both filters are returning DE, we have to ask what valve is in place & is there a valve in front of the filter used as a bypass?

The label on my filter has P/N 178657. I noticed the replacement cartridges refer to P/N 178655. Will your replacement cartridges fit my filter?

Pros: Right product, easy to find, easy to order.

My local supply house did not stock my cartridge but would order them to be here in a day or two. Well, I was able to EASILY look up my filter chamber at www.INYOPools.com and order the right cartridges and have them delivered to my door at a really good price.
