For a typical above ground pool set up this pump will output around 120 GPM

what is the difference between the vertical and horizontal? they look the same

Hi Patrick, so a horizontal discharge refers to the discharge port pointing sideways like the horizon sky, and the vertical discharge refers to the discharge port pointing upwards.

Hello Rich.  The Waterway Hi-Flo II Pool Pump is compatible with the SwimPro Sand Filter model SW256T and the above-ground pool dimension 24" diameter X 52" depth.
