THERM PRODUCTS #F2400-1001 BALBOA # 58042 THIS IS A FLOW THRU HEAT EXCHANGER TYPE HEATER. 4 KW, 240 VOLT THE TUBE IS 3" OUTSIDE DIAMETER AND 17-1/2" FROM END FLANGE TO END FLANGE THE END TAILPIECES ARE INCLUDED AND ARE 2" SLIP THE ELEMENT ON THIS UNIT IS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TUBE AT THE TOP AND ENCLOSED BY AN ALUMINUM BOX WHICH IS INCLUDED. THE OUTSIDE ELEMENT MAKES THIS A HEAT EXCHANGER TYPE HEATER THE ELEMENT LEADS HAVE LONG WIRES ATTACHED WHICH EXTEND THROUGH THE HOUSING THERE IS A 1/8" FEMALE TAPPED HOLE ON THE CENTER OF THE BACK OF THE HEATER TUBE JUST AT THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BOX.
I have a 2001 leisure Bay hot tub. The heat exchanger needs replacement and the part number is F 20 400–1001. Date of manufacture is 625 2001.it is a 240v 4.0 kW heater. Is this The correct replacement part? I'm getting prices from local dealers in excess of $650 for a new heater.
