Hi Barbara, Our best deal right now is our 3/4 HP Pump W/ 18" Sand Filter the price on this system with the pump is better than purchasing the filter by itself.

I'm pretty sure this is my sand filter (but I didn't purchase it, so I'm not positive). I need a new drain plug cap for the bottom drain. On the cap itself is a W and the numbers 505-1920 and separately a 3. Is this part replaceable and do you have it?

Hi Mimi, The Drain Cap w/ Gasket (505-2030) would be the correct drain cap that will replace p/n 505-1920.

I have this sand filter and when I shutoff the pump and turn the multiport valve (to rinse/backwash, etc) and return the multiport setting to filter it actually starts draining water through the backwash port . . . it take several turns of the multiport valve and some playing with it to stop draining during the filter setting. Does this mean something is broken? or is it just being temperamental?

Hi Dan, Normally this due to your spider gasket and spring going bad in your filter. For your particular filter it easier and more cost effective to purchase the whole new valve. We carry valve for filters 001 and earlier and a second valve if your filter is after 2001. Here you may View or Purchase any Parts or the Complete Valve for Your Waterway Filter.

Gene, I would recommend inspecting the spider gasket inside of the valve. It may be warped.
