This spanner tool does not fit my new 433 lid unless you turn it on edge with the most narrow part fitting down in the spanner lid, is that right? Seems it should sit down flat but it is too wide for the lid that way or even upside down? Got a video or picture on how it is suppose to work? The other union tool I purchased must also stand on end to open the lid?

Hi, Jack. This Lid Spanner Tool is used with the 433 Lids prior to 2015. The lip of the spanner tool should be facing down when using it to remove the lid. You can view the Speck Model 433 Pump Diagram.
