My chlorine always seems to be low no matter when I test it. What can cause this?

I would recommend checking the Cyanuric acid levels and adjusting if necessary. Cyanuric acid (conditioner) protects the chlorine from being burnt out by the sun.

Hi, Robby. I'm not familiar with the Regal Brand stabalizer. This product has 99% Cyanuric Acid with 1% other ingredients.

How long does the stored stabilizer last?
 Reply

A  Answered on 1/7/2021 by InyoPools Product Specialist Megan C.

Cyanuric acid or chlorine stabilizer will maintain potency indefinitely, even if it absorbs moisture. It is advised to label the container as Cyanuric acid or chlorine stabilizer as labels could fade over time.

Broke chlorine lock, needed to rebalance pool chemistry

Written on 1/10/2022 by Guest

Early in season, had the dreaded chlorine lock.
After a few days of adding water and non-chlorine shock, I basically had to start from scratch to rebalance my pool chemistry.
Being mindful and aware that CYA can contribute to the lock, I wanted a quality product to use.
While following the label guidelines, this did the trick.

Very low stabilizer

Written on 4/28/2020 by lesis

Simply added 5 lbs. every other day (product has very slow dissolving time) until test strip indicated ideal stabilizer level for my 45 k pool.
