My chlorine always seems to be low no matter when I test it. What can cause this?
I would recommend checking the Cyanuric acid levels and adjusting if necessary. Cyanuric acid (conditioner) protects the chlorine from being burnt out by the sun.
how does this product compare to the Regal Brand stabalizer & is this product recommended for saltwater pools?,
Hi, Robby. I'm not familiar with the Regal Brand stabalizer. This product has 99% Cyanuric Acid with 1% other ingredients.
How long does the stored stabilizer last?
Cyanuric acid or chlorine stabilizer will maintain potency indefinitely, even if it absorbs moisture. It is advised to label the container as Cyanuric acid or chlorine stabilizer as labels could fade over time.

Early in season, had the dreaded chlorine lock.
After a few days of adding water and non-chlorine shock, I basically had to start from scratch to rebalance my pool chemistry.
Being mindful and aware that CYA can contribute to the lock, I wanted a quality product to use.
While following the label guidelines, this did the trick.

Pros: Price,dissolves fairly quick.
I had no stabilizer in pool after a recent liner replacement and had to apply approximately 22 pounds. The best way to apply that i found is to hang it in front of a return jet in a very fine mesh nylon bag[ make sure no children are allowed around when you do this] i was able to dissolve it over a 48 hour period and the level is perfect for my salt system pool. pool size is 22x40 in ground.
