I just had my swimming pool water tested and I was told that my calcium level is really high. What chemical would I use to lower it?

If the calcium level is too high, the only way to lower it would be to partially drain and refill the swimming pool.

How much product is needed to get a very low to normal in a 17000 gal pool

Your pool should be at 150ppm - 250ppm.  Assuming you need to raise your pool 150ppm you would need the 50 lb bucket to increase it 150pm.  This would use 30lbs of hardness increaser.
