REPLACEMENT COLOR CHANGING LED POOL & SPA LIGHTS
Pure Colors replacement LED pool & spa bulbs offer seven solid colors, and nine light shows that can instantly transform your pool area into a color-rich paradise. The Pure Colors bulb uses an Edison screw in base, so they install easily into your existing fixture in just minutes. Plus, LED technology makes them the most energy efficient and longest lasting bulb on the market. This version of the PureColors LED Bulb comes with a RF Remote Control meaning that your pool can be easily turned on by the hand held remote which is included with this bulb or by a standard light switch.

F.A.Q's
Will the PureColors Pool LED Bulb with RF Remote synchronize with the standard PureColors Light Switch Control Bulb? The PureColors RF Remote Control Bulb will not synchronize with the with the PureColors Light Switch Control LED Bulb as the inner control board of the two bulbs are different as well as the color show programs.
Will two RF Remote Bulbs Synchronize with each other? If you have two RF Remote bulbs they may not always synchronize. Because the lamps are installed underwater and the water will block the signal in various degrees, also since the bulbs are at different distances this can affect synchronizing. The remote will turn both lights on and off and set set the lights to a fixed color without a problem but the color shows may fall out of synchronization. Most likely your lights will also be hooked up to a light switch and if the lights are wired to the same switch then cycling through the color show with your light switch instead of the remote will ensure that the bulbs synchronize together in color changing mode.
If I have two PureColors LED Bulbs with RF Remote control, will one remote work on both bulbs? Yes one remote can be used for both bulbs. Remember you must have two RF remote bulbs as the RF remote will not turn on Non RF remote bulbs.
What do the 4 buttons on the remote control do? Button #1 is for cycling through the 7 fixed colors of the bulb. Button #2 is for cycling through the 5 color shows of the bulb. Button #3 is for adjusting the changing speed when the bulb is in color changing mode. Button #4 is to turn the bulb on & off.
Can you change the functions of the 4 buttons on the remote? No the functions on the remote control cannot be changed and they are pre-set.
Do these bulbs have memory? When turning the bulbs on and off with the RF remote control then the bulbs do not have memory, meaning that if you had your bulb set on blue and if you turn your bulb off for more than 15 seconds then the next time you turn the bulb on with the remote then the bulb will not turn back on in the color of blue. The bulbs do have memory when you turn them on and off using your light switch meaning that if you have your bulb set to green and you turn the bulb off using your light switch then the next time you turn your bulb on using the light switch then the bulb will be in the green mode.
What is the Range of Remote Control? The remote control distance is 330 Ft. in an open place. When indoors with walls and doors it will be shorter, about 75' to 150', depending on the block condition.

Your blog about this item says the remote can be purchased with a 12v or 120v light. I need the 120v bulb with remote but don't see that option on your website.

How does the remote work does the light have to be permanently on at the switch and just turned on and off on the remote.

Hi, Dave. The light will need to be on at the switch in order to use the remote.

I have a Haywood 12V, 300W system. Is this bulb/remote compatible with that? Thank you.

Hi, Bruce. In order to confirm if this bulb with fit your light fixture, I will need to know the model number of the actual fixture.

Hello,
Will this light work on 12v DC? The light on my pool is really far from nearest electricity, so was hoping to use a small solar panel with a 12v battery as the power source.

The 12V bulb can use either AC or DC ut the RGB color but we do not suggest using DC on the color changing bulbs as DC cannot make all the colors synchronize. If you go with the 12V White Pure Colors LED Bulb then there is no problem using DC.

I have two lights in my 20,000 gallon in ground pool. Want to purchase 2 LED color changing bulbs. What wattage should I get. And will they sync with each other (same colors) or do they operate separately. Im looking at the $169 bulbs with remotes.

Hi Rick, For your pool I would suggest the 35 watt bulbs. The remote will turn both lights on and off and set the lights to a fixed color without a problem but the color shows may fall out of synchronization. Most likely your lights will also be hooked up to a light switch and if the lights are wired to the same switch then cycling through the color show with your light switch instead of the remote will ensure that the bulbs synchronize together in color changing mode.

The bulb housing is underwater. Do I have to drop the water level below the housing?
I don't see how to remove the old bulb, they installed it with the pool.
How I make it waterproof?

You do not need to lower the water to replace the pool light bulb. Here is a great do-it-yourself resource on How to Replace a Pool Light Bulb. You can click on the link to view the resource page.
