I'm interested in buying the life hook, but it doesn't come with a pole, where would I obtain a pole that will fit the hook?

The pole required for the life hook is a solid (non-telescopic) pole made of fiberglass. You will likely have to find one locally since they are not sold online.

What is the purpose of the black cap with the magnetic ring on the end of the pole? All of my attachments require the cap to be removed in order to click into place.

The black cap that fits into the end of the telescoping pole is just for shipping purposes. It is inserted into the end of the pole to prevent damage while in transit. It serves no other purpose.
