How many cover clips (and at what intervals) should be used for a 24' round above-ground pool cover?

For a 24' round pool the manufacturer recommends 54 clips to complete the job. They are 6" long so that's essentially all the way around your pool depending on the width of your top rails.

I have a 24 ft. round above ground pool but had a deck built going to it and had stair steps with railings attached. Due to the way it was mounted we can't remove the railings. we bought a cover last year for a 30ft pool so we could cover stair railings also but it was way too big. I don't know what size to get.

Hi, Candace. A 24 ft cover should be sufficient, the actual size is 27 ft.

i see some pools do not have flots under winter cover. are they necessary?
