I purchased a home with a pool that will need paint, but have no idea as to what type of paint was previously applied. Will the previous paint need to be removed (down to bare concrete)or will the epoxy adhere to all other paints?
Reply
The Epoxy paint can only be used on top of Epoxy paint or concrete, so if you were not sure of the old paint we would recommend removing the old paint all the way down to bare concrete to assure the best results.

(Actual coverage will vary and is dependent upon the texture and profile of the surface. )Minimum dry film per coat: 5 mils dry (7.5 mils wet)Maximum dry film per coat: 8 mils dry (12.5 mils wet)

How long can this paint be stored? We've been having too much rain to paint and now the temperatures are going to be in the 90s and 100s which is too hot to paint in, right?
Reply
Sharon, The paint can be stored in a cool, dry location for several months. I would not recommend storing it in a garage.

How safe is the paint, is it lead free?

That is correct, no primer required.
