This pump runs on 115V power. This unit comes with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. If the pump needed repair, you would call Hayward directly and they would put you in touch with a warranty service station in your area.

How many hours per day should I run my pump?

There are many factors to consider; bather load, gallons of water, pump horsepower, type and size of filter just to name a few. A good guideline is 8-10 hours a day. On the cooler days and early and late season, you can cut the run time down to 4-6 hours because there is usually less swimmers and cooler water requires less chemicals. In peak season, when it is the hottest, raising the run time to 10-12 hours per day will help to keep the pool clean and circulating during it’s time of heaviest use.

I changed the impeller gasket but the pump still leaks in back of motor did I miss maybe a gasket some where

I have a Hayward Matrix 1 H.P. pump & I'm curious if a 3 way diverter valve will work on above ground pools for cleaning/ by passing the filter...if so how would it be installed ??

June, A 3-Way can be installed for cleaning/ bypassing the filter, you'll have to install the valve on the discharge side of the pump before the filter.

Hi Mark, the Hayward Matrix pump has a 1 year warranty. I also like the PureLine Pure Pro XL Pump which also has a 1 year warranty.

The strainer on this pump has a lid which has three slots to open it up. Where can I buy a tool to do this?

I am not aware of a tool for the pump, I recommend giving Hayward a call, 1-800-657-2287, to see if they make one for that pump.

I need a new pump, I have added a solar heater with 22 1'x12' panels that is on opposite side of house of pool and have a Jacuzzi Laser II 192 sand filter, was wondering if the 1 hp model is good or should I go with the 1.5 hp model, and could I use the 1.5 hp pump with this filter, pool is 15x24 if you need to know.

Hi Cesar this is the exact same pump. The W3 part # designates that the pump was purchased online. If you purchase the Non W3 part # from an online store then the manufacturer warranty will not be in place.

Hi Richard, Sometimes you may need to lubricate the lid gasket/ o ring using Magic Lube that will aid in the removal and sealing of it in the future.
