Could I use the SPX1070KHR in place of the SPX1071K skimmer weir? I have the SP1071 Hayward Skimmer, the two weirs look similar but have different prices.

The Hayward SPX1070KHR and SPX1071 are not interchangeable. The Hayward SP1070 Skimmer requires a hinged weir door and the SP1071 Skimmer uses a spring loaded door.

The flapper that broke off my skimmer is a model SP1070-K. Do I need a replacement kit or can the flapper be replaced?

Hayward has discontinued the SP1070K and now only sell the SP1070KHR weir kit which does include the SP1070K weir / flapper.

Do I need to order a replacement flat bar separately? The slots on the door have become too large and it will not stay attached to the bar.

Pamela, this part will come with the weir and the part that it attached too (flat bar). You'll get both parts that appears in the photo.

I need a replacement part for the skimmer on my in ground pool. The part number on the (I'll call it the door - I think you call it a weir). Thew part number on the unit that came off - the tab that held in place broke - is SP1070-K. Do you have such an animal or a replacement for it.

Hello Joe, The Hayward Skimmer Weir Assembly Kit is the door, or flap, to the skimmer. This is a complete weir assembly that includes the door and the base the door is attached to. No assembly of the door is required.

How do install the Hayward Weir assy Kit SP1070-K or equivalent I would have to purchase in replacement of a broken one? Mine doesnt stay in its place due to a broken pin? What would be the cost to buy it if available???

Hi. Specific installation instructions are not available for this weir. If the tabs for the hinge is ok you can snap the new replacement weir back in place or remove the old weir with the hinge and install the new one.

Is there a universal type spring loaded weir door which will be a suitable replacement for the Hayward SP1070K weir door - during a pool re-plastering the workers damaged one of the lower skimmer corners of the front housing breaking a couple tabs that help hold the SP1070K weir door in place off - I'd like to have the damage epoxied but in so doing would not be capable of accommodating a typical SP1070K weir door - as an alternative, I am seeking a suitable spring loaded type weir door.
