The pump may be used for both application. I have include the Hayward Brochure for this model -  https://www.hayward-pool.com/pdf/literature/PowerFloII_Brochure.pdf   I hope this answers your question.

Jeanne- The size pool that you can use the Hayward Power-Flo II 3/4 HP Single Speed Pump Part # SP1775 would depend on the Average feet of head in your pool.

I want to use this to replace a SP1575, for which the discharge had been rotated to horizontal. Can I do the same with this pump, via removal/replacement of the pump/motor bolts?

Yes, you are able to rotate the wet end to make it a horizontal discharge.

What is the proper enclosure for this pump to protect against weather, etc.? I.e. what vendor and part number?

Hi, Steve. You can use the Protective Pool Motor Cover - R221016 to provide addition protection for this and other pumps.

The part number we have CF11-N1 3/4A other number is a 1-17-F04/ 34-3232 will this pump work on this exchange?

Hi. Unfortunately, this pump will not work as a replacement because it's an above ground pool pump. The Pentair Challenger 3/4 HP 115/230V UR Pump - 343232 is the exact replacement.

Hi, Ted. You can use the Waterway SMF 3/4 HP Max Rate Pump - SMF-107 as a suitable replacement for the Hayward MaxFlo II Pump - SP2705X7 model pump.

Hi. What pump/filter would you recommend for a small rectangular inground pool with an estimated 6500 gallon water. Thank you!

Hello, so there are a few variables to consider when selecting pool equipment. Here are two guides called "How to Size a Pool Pump for Your In-Ground Pool" and "How To Size a Pool Filter" that should help with that.

Hi Jonathon, could you send us a few photos of your pump? Please take a wide shot of the complete pump to include the pipes going in and out of the pump and its label showing the model number if possible. To supply photos simply click the reply link below and upload your photos or quickest using our live online chat feature. Once we get those photos we can make the proper recommendation.

Hi Jonathon, the replacement 3/4 hp motor for your Hayward Max Flo pool pump is the UST1072 which is an AO. Smith who manufactures Hayward motors. You will also need a Hayward Max Flo seal kit when replacing a motor.
