I have a Fiberstars system with 1 spa light and 2 pool lights which I want to replace and have several questions regarding the SAVINOTES. What is the luminosity rating for these LED lights? What’s the difference between the two M4 controllers? What’s the construction on the controller, plastic or metal? Galvanized or steel? Is there a lower wattage SAVINOTE for my attached spa? What is the expected lifetime for the LED heads? Can I replace the Head only and not the entire power cord?

This product is designed for exactly for your situation, customer's who are replacing fiber optic systems, this product is any easy retrofit using your existing fiber optic wall fittings. You will want to keep in consideration that you will need at least 8 to 12 inches of 1.5" pipe behind your lens to accomodate the SAVINOTE. The lumen output of these lights are equivalent to a standard 75 watt incandescent light or a 130 strand fiber optic cable. Is the savi note dimmable? Can the savi note been used in the bottom of a pool 4ft deep shooting up on the floor?

The SAVI NOTES are not dimmable. You can put these in the floor of the pool but keep in mind that you need 10 inches of straight 1.5" pipe going into the back of the wall fitting to accomodate for the note. After the 10 inches of straight pipe you can use a 90 or whatever fittings you need at that point. The same applies if you are installing in the wall of the pool. Can I put a SaVi LED Light into an existing return jet. How does that work.
Reply
It doesn't. These lights are not intended to work with existing return jets in your water lines. They use a wall fitting very similar to the return jet which has piping behind it to take wire up to a transformer. This is something you do when installing your pool.

Can the Savinote 100 light use a photocell to turn it off during daylight hours?
Reply
According to the manufacturer, a photocell can be used but must be installed so that it breaks the voltage to the M4 LED controller, not between the M4 and the SaviNote100.
