The heater turns the thermostat to high the longer it runs?
 Reply

A  Answered on 4/6/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Brian M.

The tech at Little Giant wanted me to ask a few questions : The first would be how old the heater is? He said the older it is the points would stay closed in the thermostat the water would just keep getting warmer. If the points were open, it would never get hot. A new thermostat would be part number 9523-11.  According to the tech,  and depending on the age of your heater, a new one may be the best bet. That part number 9521-0

Our Little Giant heater has served us well. I turn it on Saturday nights for Sunday morning. I had a baptism this past Sunday and the water was very cold. Heater and pump were not working. I checked it today and when I press the reset button on top and then turn on heater and pump, the red light comes on and everything works for about 30 seconds and then the light goes off and everything shuts down. What do I need to replace?
