Hi, we would not suggest this cord for a SP1610Z1M motor as that motor has a full load amps on 115V of 19.6 amps and this cord is only rated to 15 amps.

Hello, f you are wiring for 115V, the three wires to the pool pump will be black, white and green. Attach the white wire to terminal 1 of Line 1 (L1). Attach the black wire to terminal 3 of Line 2 (L2). Attach the green wire under the Ground screw (GND). The black plug is shifted in position so the the black wire is attached to terminal 4 Line 2 (L2) and the white wire is attached to terminal 5. Note: in this position the white arrow on top of the 2 prong black plug is pointing at the 115V label. This found underwiring here.

I just purchased a new 3/4 HP Super Pump from you guys. I will need to move the power cord from the old pump to the new one. The cord is in good shape but the washer that sits on the plastic end that screws into the pump is damaged and needs to be replaced. What do you recommend I use for this? Hi, Tom. You do not want to use your existing power cord if it's damaged in any way. I would recommend replacing it, this Power Cord - SPX1250WA will work with 115 volts. You can use our How To Wire A Pool Pump guide for instructions.

I have a Hayward Power FLO LX pump. One of the prongs on the plug (amazingly) snapped off. So I was going to replace the power cord. Can I use SPX1250WA? My current cord has the twist lock style plug and it's imprinted as 12 GA/3 wire, where this one is 14 GA and has the standard three prong grounded plug.

Hi, Stevc. You will need Part # SPX1550WA1 - 3-Prong 3' Pump Power Cord w/ Twist Lock. If you replace it with this standard cord, you will have to change the outlet.

I have a Hayward SP2607X10 who's paperwork says in the electrical section a 1hp pump should run on 12awg wires. I see you advised earlier to a question that this would work for the SP2607, and it is described as 14 GA cord. Could you clarify please? I'd love to use this cord especially would the clip connection but am concerned about the wire gauge.

Hi, Gerry. Yes, the manual states to use No.12 wires for 115 volts and No.14 wires for 230 volts. However, you can still use this No.14 pump cord. You can purchase the No.12 wire and the quick disconnect making your own power cord.

Hi, I just purchased a Pentair Dynamo pump model: DYNIIN1 - 1 1/2; Motor S48AB86A03 ; 115v 60hz; MaxAmps 12.0. Will this cord work? My cord is too short to reach the electrical outlet, the motor comes with a 3 foot cord and I'm needing a longer cord do you have one longer than 6ft just to be safe?

I have an old Hayward Super Pump SP-1610-Z1-M (model c48L2n134b1) that I was thinking of using to vac out sand and dirt I don’t want to run through the system.

Hi Ed, Yes this cord will work on a Super Pump if you are wiring it 115V. From a safety standpoint, you want to be very careful when using a pump near the pool so the pump doesn't fall in. The suction of the pipe going into the water can be very strong so if there is a swimmer in the pool they could become entrapped easily.

unfortunately there is no rating provided for the cord. We would have several questions as to the actual application as a power cord is more rated on voltage and amperage than ambient air temp.

Yes, you can use this on that Hayward Super Pump but you will need to change the voltage setting on the motor by following the wiring diagram on the motor label.
