I need a new feed hose for my Polaris 380. You seem to have two types a hard and soft 10' hose. which is best for the 380 or is there some circumstances when you would chose one over the other?

Hi, RPitts. The hard hose is considered the leader hose and the soft is the feed hose which both are included with this Complete Feed Hose. The leader hose is placed closer to the cleaner head the feed hose is installed at the wall connection.

Does this generic hose assembly include the backup valve?

Hi, Clifford. This Hose assembly does not include the Polaris Back Up Valve 380 / 280 / 180 - G52.

Does this hose come with the necessary nut to fasten it to another hose? I plan on reusing the short piece of hose that contains the back up valve. Or, should I replace that piece too? My current hose tangles, even without tangles the Polaris will not quite reach the far corner of the pool.

Yes, this unit would a complete unit. You can reuse the backup valve that you currently.
