If your pump is the model Challenger then that is the correct screw for that impeller.

Is this a left hand threaded bolt? The old one broke upon replacement of motor. Do i need to replace it?

Hi Chis, This Impeller screw is left-handed thread. You do not need it but if you want to you can replace it.

I was replacing my motor on my Pentair superflo. The bolt for the impeller is bent. it is a left handed thred does it have to be in the pump?

is this locking screw 5/16 thich. how many threads to the inch. Does it hold the impellar in place.

Hi, John, This Impeller Screw Fastener Size is 1/4" and the Thread Pitch is 20. It does keep the impeller secured to the motor shaft.

Yes this is the correct impeller screw for a 3 HP Challenger Pump.

Hi Mary, sometimes using a small amount of muriatic acid will clean corrosion that could be causing the skew to stick. Also, WD40 or heat may also assist to break the screw loose.
