Can I use a ball valve for overflow pipe which is 3" in diameter and located flushed on my pool side wall? I only realized my contractor made the existing overflow drain to flow directly into the existing sewage system. Big headache.

Anthony Ho, Using a ball valve to manually drain the pool so that way it does not overflow is possible, it all depends on hoe the current overflow is installed or setup.
