The 15 year warranty cover is simply stronger.
If you feel all three covers in your hand there is a considerable difference in quality between the three covers. The difference in strength is due to the increased thread count or skrim between the three covers, the higher warranty covers have more threads per square inch than the lower warranty covers. Below is the thread count (skrim) for the three covers we carry:

8 Year Warranty – 8 threads x 7 threads per square inch.
12 Year Warranty – 10 threads x 7 threads per square inch.
15 Year Warranty – 13 threads x 7 threads per square inch.
