The warranty covers the shipping cost for a replacement blanket only for the first 8 months.The warranty for this solar blanket is through Midwest Canvas.

What does the warranty cover?
We keep our chemicals balanced, our solar cover "covered" when rolled up while we swim, & our solar cover stored properly in the winter. Our last solar cover, from a different company....only lasted two years. Bubbles started deteriorating and coming off in large quantities. The past company would not cover that in it's warranty. We are therefore looking elsewhere to purchase, but want to know what your warranty covers and doesn't cover.

Hi, Diane. The warranty only covers defect in the material and workmanship. The warranty does not cover to damage resulting from accidents, misuse or abuse of the product or alterations or modifications of the product after purchase.

I'm looking into pros/cons of a solar blanket for the first time. Clarify a couple practical questions..am I correct in assuming that the pool filter cannot be running with the blanket in place, and, what keeps it in place in windy conditions?

Hi Gary, Yes you can still run your pool pump with a solar blanket on the pool surface. You may just need to be sure the blanket does not interfere with the skimmer function. High winds should not move the blanket as they are fairly heavy. The main pro is that they do help to keep the pool water warmer jump-starting and extending your swim season. The con is the fact that it will need to be either reeled or manually removed before using the pool and put back on after.

Great price. I like the idea of being able to see what's in the pool through the cover. Waiting to see how ell it heats the pool, that's why I only gave it 4 stars.
