Clear Supreme Solar Blanket
Use our new Clear solar blankets to heat your pool faster. Our solar blankets are laced with air bubbles that act as an insulating layer, shielding your swimming pool from cool winds and nighttime cooling (for installation, the blanket goes bubble side down.) In addition, our clear blankets allow more solar heat to reach the depths of your pool and heat it thoroughly. Our blankets are made of extra-thick 16 MIL material so they will outlast most other above-ground blankets on the market. They are backed by a 10-Year Warranty. Invest in the solar blanket that will give you the best heating you can buy.

I bought one of these covers in 2011 and it has come apart at one of the seams. Was it originally glued together or welded. if glued what glue do I need to get it to bond? IE: super glue , PVC glue, vinyl????
Hi, Alan. The covers are not glued together at the seams but it's welded or molded.
Does the warranty cover shipping for this solar blanket?
The warranty covers the shipping cost for a replacement blanket only for the first 8 months. The warranty for this solar blanket is through Midwest Canvas.
How well does this solar cover hold up on a pool with salt chlorination? Will the warranty affected in any way?
The residue from the salt will decrease the life expectancy of most materials including solar covers. How long the cover will last will depend on the concentration of chlorine and the salt level. The manufacturer's warranty will not be affected. The manufacturer's warranty will only cover manufacturer defects such as delamination and seam separation.
(5 out of 5 stars) Works Great!

Pros: Easy to put on and take off, works great warming the water and keeping it warm
We live in the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York, so even in July there can be nights where the temperature drops back into the fifties, and the past two weeks were a perfect test for this blanket. I installed it the evening it came, and the pool water was noticably warmer even by the end of the next day. We had daytime temperatures in the low to mid eighties, and nights dropped back into the middle fifties. By the end of the first week our pool went from about 75 degrees to just over 80 degrees. After two weeks, it's now a consistent 85 degrees. And that's not just surface temperature either. The water is a consistent temperature all the way through the water column, down to the bottom of the deep end. We get pretty good sun on the pool up to about two in the afternoon, then shade slowly creeps across the water from the deep end to the shallow end. By 4:00PM it's in full shade, so as long as I'm dilligent in putting the blanket back on every evening, the water has stayed a very consistent temperature. We've had no issues with the filter running while the blanket is on, and I think that has contributed to creating such a consistent temperature throughout the water column. Again, as long as you're dilligent with putting the blanket back on at the end of the day, there's no reason you can't increase your pool's temperature without using a heater. This purchase has saved us the thousands it would cost to buy and install a heat pump. As long as we keep getting results like this, I don't see why we would ever have to purchase a heater.
