Will this work with a 27 foot above ground with a 1 1/2 hp pump.

Unfortunately no. This filter does not have the capability to withstand the gpm rating that a 1.5 hp pump will do.

Yes this sand filter will work fine for a 24 foot above ground pool.

Yes this would be a great filter for a 27 ft pool using either a 3/4 or 1 hp pump.

I was told by Matt on your chat line link that this would work with a 1 1/2 hp pump but then I read in a previous post that it will not. which is it?

Janice, This 19" Pool Sand Filter Top Mount will not be able to work with a 1-1/2 hp pump.

HI Jen, The 19" Pool Sand Filter Top Mount (BC3050) does include the base and the multiport valve.
