GORILLA FLOOR PADDING
SUPER STRONG FLOOR PAD PROTECTS LINERS FROM ROCKS & ROOTS
New Gorilla Pad makes old foam floor padding obsolete. Unlike foam, which can be easily cut by roots or rocks under your liner, Gorilla Padding is impervious to almost any sharp object. Gorilla Padding is a geotextile that was developed to protect trash dump liners where any cut would be a catastrophe. Gorilla Padding is super tough, but also adds a layer of cushioning that will eliminate footprints from forming. Gorilla Pad is cut to size and seamed for your pool. No more cutting and taping as with foam. Virtually eliminate vinyl liner bottom leaks with Gorilla Pad.
Note: Gorilla Padding will not stop grass, we suggest Perfect Pool Bottom to stop grass

I am wondering if you need to put sand under the Gorilla floor padding? Or can this be just set on the level ground?
You can set up the Gorilla floor pad either way. Some of our customers will put a layer of sand down and then the Gorilla floor pad. However the manufacturer states that you do not have to put sand down first.
Can the Gorilla Floor Padding be installed under an expandable liner for a 24' round pool that expands up to 72" depth in the center?
The Gorilla Floor Padding is not designed to work in conjunction with the expandable liner.

I have installed well over thirty pools using the gorilla pad and it has yet to let me down. The fact that it is pre-cut and seamed makes it a no brainer. I recommend using it if your installing an above ground.

Pros: Very durrable. Don't start your project without one.
We installed the Gorrila Pad at the urging of our helpers. Good thing, we feel some rocks (minor) and no threat to the worst nightmare of roots from the trees fifty feet away searching for water. We have had a record drought and this caused this affect. The roots could not penetrate the Gorrila Pad. If we had not installed it, we would be in big trouble. Highly reccomended to any one with an above ground installation.

The Gorilla Liner made installing your pool liner a snap. The liner spread out to remove the wrinkles like you were working on carpet not sand. Made set up an easy process, and protects your liner from holes made from sharp rocks or nut grass.

Pros: Cost, ease of install, best new technology
Our local pool dealer/installer had never heard of Gorilla Pad and their local suppliers in the Twin Cities (Minnesota) did not carry it. They agreed to install it with our new pool so I ordered it. The installer supervisor who has been in the business 28 years said it was a great idea, much much easier to work woth than happy bottom or other foam products, and liked the feel under the thick liner when he was filling the pool. SInce I installed foam coping he did have to trim a small amount of the pad. Normally I go for something more proven but the technology and logic of Gorilla Pad made me feel confident I was ordering the right product. We ordered an entirely new on/partial/in-ground pool from Fox Pool, the "Ultimate Pool", basically its inground-pool materials (heavy bolted powder-coated steel but in limited round/oval and only 48" true water depth. Something this high quality deserved to have the best ground liner available. Stay tuned.

Pros: Provides excellent coverage for the bottom of the new liner I installed.
Cons: Installation was hard due to the padding constantly wanted to move out of place while installing the new liner.
I would definitely recommend this padding to anyone that needs good protection for the bottom of their liner.
